Photorealistic Artist Chris Birks based in West Lancashire, England specialises in painting wildlife and birds in oils. He is inspired by his love of nature and the encouragement of his grandmother whilst spending wonderful summer holidays in North Wales when he was a teenager.

Chris has been developing his practice since 2017 working on primarily pet portraits (over 150 paid commissions) to being a successful wildlife and bird painter today. He has a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and a BTech National Diploma in Graphic Design leading to 25 years in the Design and Marketing industry.

Chris has a passion for painting wildlife in great detail to highlight the beauty of the animal or bird which he hopes shines through in each of his paintings.
